2021 was a great year for NEWMAN Guitars

2021 was a great year for NEWMAN Guitars.  We were interviewed for Guitar Connoisseur Magazine February 2021 issue.  It was a lot of fun to see full page pictorials of some of our favorite builds.  Then, In March, we started chat designing with Billy F. Gibbons.  By July, Billy and I were doing final designs in Crayon on the floor of his tour bus.  With that, I knew there would be some fun projects this year.  Other fun project highlights were our first 3D Model 5 String in Matte Black and Satin.  It was a unique guitar and something we plan on doing again.  It was truly a wild build.  We also built our first NEWMAN Bass after long R & D talks with Scott Nelson.  Then, midway through the year, Robert Mondell was finishing up the Legacy Model #7 of 10.  Working with Robert on the Legacy Model project was another great experience that would lead into great things in 2022.  Following up his build of the Legacy Model #7, he built a 5 String UniTone NEWMAN prototype.  Once I played the 5 String guitar with the UniTone system, I knew we had another special extension of the electric guitar family.

Good news continues into the year with us securing the domain for NEWMANGuitars.com.  We took the financial plunge for intellectual property and dropped .net for .com.  I think this will be a great thing for us in the following years having secured the domain and be to be able to continue to build our brand and Ted’s Legacy.  Then, with the new domain comes the new website that we launched in the Fall of 2021.  The upgrade the Gallery and new Sales section pages to add info that was lacking in our old .net site.  Last, we had fun doing our first PodCast with Couch Riffs Episode #141.  Having to explain yourself is a humbling experience and there is an intimacy of a PodCast that can really get the story out.  It was another exciting moment for me in 2021.

So, we accomplished many significant things this year.  Most of our accomplishments were not even in sight the previous year.  We are working for significant growth in 2022.  I hope you all come around and visit.  We are having a lot of fun and don’t have anything stopping us from going any direction at any time.

Thank you for a great year and see you around the corner.  Jeff Smith
